Madlib, de son vrai nom Otis Jackson Jr., né le 24 octobre 1973 à Oxnard en Californie, est un artiste et créateur américain de hip-hop très largement influencé par le jazz et notamment par Sun Ra. Ses parents étaient également musiciens. Il vit actuellement à Los Angeles. Madlib se décrit comme un « DJ d'abord, un producteur ensuite, et un MC ensuite. »
